The Pacific Broken Consort

The Broken Consort

Dear Jack,

Sacbuts, crumhorns, recorders, wurstfagots, lute, theorbo, viola da gamba, bells, harpsichord, etc. One of the players (from San Diego) had a collection of stringed instruments among which was a theorbo. (This was my first acquaintance with the instrument. A great sound, especially when the bass strings were hit!) He was a good guitarist and lutanist and played the theorbo at some performances. The outdoor performance I saw at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills was especially great fun.

Regards,
George
